These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Lapseline (the "Service"), operated by Serdar Torun (Lapseline). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
The Service — an assistant, not a guarantee
Lapseline helps you track expirations and deadlines by extracting information from documents and sending reminders. Extraction is automated and may contain errors; every extracted value carries a confidence score and requires your confirmation. Lapseline is an assistant that helps you stay organized — it is not a guarantee that any deadline will be met, and it is not legal, compliance, or professional advice. You remain responsible for verifying dates and renewals with the issuing authority.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and are responsible for the documents and data you upload, including having the right to upload them.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, access it without authorization, upload unlawful content, or infringe the rights of others.
Billing
Paid plans are sold through our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, which handles payment, invoicing, and applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew until cancelled. Refunds and billing inquiries are subject to the Merchant of Record's terms in addition to these Terms.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lapseline will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any missed deadline, expiry, or loss arising from your use of or reliance on the Service.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated or as required to protect the Service.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the courts of competent jurisdiction in the United States.
Changes & contact
We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Questions about these Terms can be sent to privacy@lapseline.com.
